Unlocking Two Critical Mineral Projects Within a World-Class Copper and Gold Belt in Central Newfoundland

  • Maribow Minerals is focused on identifying, acquiring, and unlocking high-quality critical minerals exploration targets in Newfoundland. We directly focus on the economics and technical merits of projects in order to establish long-term value creation of our shareholders.

  • We are de-risking our Springdale Copper and Rolling Pond Gold projects through targeted, data-driven exploration, interrogating high-priority targets, while preserving capital and unlocking long-term value creation of our mineral assets.

  • Our Springdale Copper project contains two prior high-grade operating copper mines in a fully permitted jurisdiction with ample infrastructure adjacent to Firefly Metals (TSX: FFM). Our Rolling Pond project is an early stage gold asset neighbouring New found Gold (TSX: NFG).

SPRINGDALE COPPER PROJECT

A 2,875 hectare land package situated in the heart of Canada’s earliest base metal camps, the Springdale Copper Project contains two past producing copper mines with seven current targets that is accessible year-round. The Project is 1KM east of the Trans-Canada Highway and 3KM north of the Port and Town of Springdale. 92 total historical diamond drill holes totaling 14,599 meters were completed on the Springdale Project, with results including 4.42 meters @ 5.5% Cu, 30.5 meters @ 0.8% Cu, 29.6 meters @ 0.5% Cu, and 13.72 meters @ 1.7% Cu. Falconbridge produced a Historical Resource Estimate in the 1970’s based on a 55-drill hole campaigns. The Project is also adjacent to various mines that produced >7Mt Cu, including Firefly Metals’ Green Bay Project, and current gold producers (Hammerdown Mine; New Found Gold).

ROLLING POND GOLD PROJECT

A 2,775-hectare exploration property situated in one of Canada's most active gold belts — the same Appleton Fault Zone and Dunnage geological belt that hosts the Valentine Gold Mine operated by Equinox Gold (TSX: EQX) and New Found Gold's (TSX-V: NFG) high-grade Queensway discovery. The property features a large, outcropping hydrothermal quartz breccia zone stretching over 1.2 kilometres, confirmed at depth by diamond drilling, and displaying all the classic hallmarks of a significant gold system. The majority of the known structure still untested and multiple additional targets identified across the property, Rolling Pond represents a compelling early-stage opportunity with substantial discovery potential ahead.

Meet the Team

  • Vincent J. Chen, CPA

    CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, FOUNDER

    Vincent brings a wealth of expertise and a robust background in accounting and corporate development within the mining sector. He began his distinguished career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Metals and Mining Assurance team in Toronto as a Chartered Professional Accountant, where he worked with global mining companies such as Barrick Gold, Vale Canada, and KGHM. Vincent then joined Yamana Gold Inc. (now Pan American Silver), serving as a Senior Analyst on the corporate reporting team. Vincent also held the position of Sr. Associate of Corporate Development and Investor Relations at Forbes & Manhattan, a prominent family office and merchant bank focused on the global mining and resource sector. He currently acts as a Board of Director member for Lancaster Resources and as a Director for various junior mining companies, including Emerita Resources Corp., Halcones Precious Metals Corp., and Nobel Resources Corp. He was also formerly a consultant at Lithium Ionic Corp. and Q-Gold Resources. Vincent is a proud alumnus of Simon Fraser University, where he graduated with Honours in Accounting.

  • Dean Fraser, P. Geo.

    VP, EXPLORATION

    Dean graduated from the Memorial University of Newfoundland with a joint B.Sc. degree in geology/geophysics.  He is a professional geologist/geophysicist with over 30 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry in North America and internationally.  He has extensive experience in exploration and project management having worked on a wide variety of gold, base metal, uranium, iron, tin/tungsten and nickel projects worldwide. Previous tier-1 discoveries that Dean was a part of include the renowned Fruta del Norte gold deposit during his time at Aurelian Resources (acquired by Kinross Gold for $1.2B in 2008, now owned by Lundin Gold). Dean also drilled the discovery hole for the Nui Phao Tungsten mine (the largest mine in Southeast Asia history) that contains 55Mt of .21% tungsten owned by the Masan Group (market cap $6 billion) and has previously held positions of technical advisor and director of junior mineral exploration companies.  He is also the owner and President of RDF Consulting Ltd., a mineral exploration consulting company providing geological and geophysical consulting services to junior and major exploration and mining companies.

  • Kenny Choi, J.D.

    GENERAL COUNSEL

    Kenny Choi is a corporate lawyer who graduated from Western University’s JD/HBA program in 2013. He was previously an associate at a top-tier Bay Street firm, where he honed his skills in areas including equity and debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, fund formation and private and public securities law. Mr. Choi has occupied various management roles in publicly-traded CSE, TSXV, TSX and NEO companies, in particular in the mining industry.
